Iris Chelaru

Since 2012, Iris has lead the communications, marketing, and public relations for UMass Amherst's Information Technology department with an eye to the University's strategic mission and goals. Iris and her team seek to advance the campus engagement with technology services, facilitate collaboration in areas related to information technology, and highlight new, innovative ways in which students, faculty, and staff can integrate technology in their professional and personal lives. Iris holds B.A. in English and French Literature from Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania) and an M.A. in Communication with a focus on information technology policy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
